Free tuition

I want to support disadvantaged young people that have a passion for science but lack the funds to pay for private tuition.

I offer free tuition to anyone in my local area that needs it and deserves it. Qualifying students must be studying in non-fee paying schools (comprehensive, academy, free school).

I can travel to you if you're unable to come to me.

I offer 1-hour sessions at weekends, as well as half- and full-day tuition over the holidays.

I can tutor groups of up to three students.

I am fully DBS checked and work in a UK school (if references are required).

I live in New Alresford, Hampshire, UK.

Areas serviced for free tuition include Alresford, Avington, Beauworth, Bighton, Bishop's Sutton, Bramdean, Cheriton, Chilcomb, Easton, Itchen Abbas, Itchen Stoke, Kilmeston, Ovington, Ropley, and Tichborne. 

Students from any other locations are welcome if you can come to me.

1. Show this website to your parent/guardian and check they are happy for you to continue with the steps below. Get them to contact me by email if they would like to speak to me first.

2. Show this website to your science teacher and ask them to email me from their school email address with a message supporting your need for free tuition. No explicit reason is required, just their recommendation. They are welcome to ask me questions if they have any. If you would like tuition to be with one or two of your friends then get your teacher to mention everyone in the same message. An example message is given below.

"Dear Patrick (that's me). 

I teach David Attenborough Science at Perins School. I believe he would benefit from free science tuition. 

Kind regards, Charles Darwin."

3. Ask your parent/guardian to contact me by email stating your name, your science teacher's name, and a brief message about your needs and availablity. 

4. If I get emails from both your teacher and parent/guardian, we will arrange for me to meet you and your parent/guardian, and schedule our first tuition session.
